The common name for this  beetle is the Hairy-Sided Seed Eater. A beetle unusual for, and proud of, it's vegan status.

Taken from the Microsculpture project by Levon Biss, this beautiful portrait of a Ground Beetle was created from over 8,000 individual photographs using a bespoke camera system and microscope objectives.
