The Pyrops gunjii lanternfly is a striking species of planthopper belonging to the family Fulgoridae, a group known for its extraordinary colours and unusual head structures. Its distinctive appearance makes it a fascinating example of the remarkable diversity of the insect world, where even small creatures can display extraordinary forms and patterns. The species is native to Borneo, Indonesia, where it has been recorded in the island’s tropical forests.
