Mecynorrhina oberthuri is a striking species of flower chafer beetle native to parts of Africa. It is known for its bright colouring and distinctive patterns on its wing cases. Like other flower chafers, it feeds mainly on fruit, nectar, and plant material, while its larvae develop in decaying organic matter.
